This set of pieces was inspired by my love of foxes and badgers. They have long been some of my favorite animals. I love the English countryside and all of the wildlife that may live there. My love of English wildlife can be traced back to one single source. The stories of Beatrix Potter. Beatrix is well known for being a successful children’s book author, one of her stories featuring a red fox and a badger. Over time she has become my idol. I share her love of painting, mycology, and farming. All of this things have influenced my artwork at some time or other. These pieces are no different. I tried to capture the feeling of the English Countryside as I know it. Full of interesting creatures, but calm at the same time.
